Racing Karts

There are many different kinds of racing karts that you can get. What kind you get will really depend on where you are going to be racing. Racing on paved tracks will call for a very different type of kart than dirt tracks.

If you are going to be racing on paved tracks, you will want racing karts that sit close to the ground. Many of these karts are open, meaning they don’t have a roll cage on them. This is because on paves tracks you are less likely to hit a bump or have something happen that will cause the kart to tip. You also don’t want the wind resistance that a roll cage will cause.

If you are going to be racing on dirt tracks, you definitely want the roll cage, because you never know what might happen on these tracks. You will also need racing carts that sit higher off the ground. Finally, karts for dirt tracks have tires with very aggressive tread for superior gripping.
