Go Karts

Many people drive go karts on a regular basis. They are fun, spunky little vehicles that come in many sizes and shapes. This is because many different age groups drive these karts. While the ability to operate any vehicle should be determined on a kid-to-kid basis, some karts are made to be handled by kids as young as 6 years old.

These go karts are going to have very simple operations and won’t go as fast as some of the larger karts. This said, they can still go above 20 miles per hour, and they are still just as dangerous as any other ATV. Children should be closely supervised when driving them.

If you are looking for something for an adult to drive, there are plenty of these. They are going to have larger frames, obviously, but they are also going to have bigger engines. Some karts have the ability to go street-speeds, but they are designed to do it off-road.

You can get karts in just about any color you want. Most of them come in very bright colors to make them easier to find if something goes wrong, but you can get some that come in camouflage colors for hunting purposes. You can also choose the number of people that the kart will carry. It is easy to find one and two seat carts, but you can find ones that carry up to four people.

Most karts are just for driving around in through fields, sand dunes, and other outdoor spaces. But there are some that are for rock-climbing and racing. There is an entire sector of these karts that are made for individuals who compete in these activities. They are very expensive, but you get a whole lot of performance abilities for the price.

While most go karts are for playing, there are some that are made for work purposes. Utility karts aren’t made to go fast, and their roll cage is not as extensive as those on sport karts. They often have a bench seat big enough for two, and while they generally have tires that can handle turf, they are not made for 4-wheeling, so their tires have less aggressive tread on them.

A lot of large business properties have one or two of these utility karts for their maintenance people. Landscapers also commonly use these if they need to get equipment to spots on properties where regular vehicles can’t go.

Basically, go karts are not only very fun vehicles that many people can enjoy riding around in; they can also be functional work vehicles. When you are shopping for a kart, take into account what you are going to be using the kart for, who will be driving it, and how fast your want it to go. When you use some criteria like these to narrow down your options, you will have a much easier time finding the kart you need.
